We're pleased to confirm the existence of our newest addition, Rachel Elizabeth Berry.

She was born 8 pounds 11 ounces, and 20 inches. After she came out, Frank came on the radio and sang "Luck be a Lady."

It was a long wait, but it was all worth it.

Welcome, daughter. It sure is nice to meet you.

I'm an infrastructure dork from way back, so it's possible that only I would really enjoy this story. But to the right you'll find a link to pictures of WSDOT's yearly herculean effort to clear the North Cascades Highway of snow.

Pretty damn incredible job, all told. I can't quite decide whether it's impressive, or ridiculous that we do this every year. Maybe it's both?

Plus, you get to see a snow doughnut.
