I'm an infrastructure dork from way back, so it's possible that only I would really enjoy this story. But to the right you'll find a link to pictures of WSDOT's yearly herculean effort to clear the North Cascades Highway of snow.

Pretty damn incredible job, all told. I can't quite decide whether it's impressive, or ridiculous that we do this every year. Maybe it's both?
