It's pretty cool - you can see just how far you walked when you took that long walk. I would've killed for this back when I was doing the VisionQuest walks.

Dirtybird!! Will you explain what "Steve" is talking about? I'm ever so curious.
Well Agienne, somebody sent me a link to a propaganda comic book that the CIA put out after we invaded Grenada.
It was terribly heavy-handed propaganda, featuring a main character, named AC Langdon, who'd been jailed, tortured and shot by the Reds who'd been running Grenada. The site with the comic, www.ep.tc, stated that the Langdon character was fictional, and had been made up by the CIA, just to make Ivan look bad.
I did a few minutes of research, and found more references to the guy, including Grenadan election results from the 90's, where Langdon got his ass handed to him - he got like 13 votes.
In the course of that research, I ran across Steve's blog. He'd posted the comic and the statement that Langdon was fictional. I left a pissy comment on Steve's blog, 'cause by that point I was miffed at lazy, non-fact-checking hippies. In response, he left the terribly polite comment you see above. I've since commented back, and we're all friendly now.
So, it was a mixed bag for me. I had my perception that lefties don't always fact check reinforced. But Steve showed himself to be an open-minded, terribly decent man who rose above my original pissiness, in pursuit of the truth. God bless Steve, I say.
