Oh boy. It was the summer of '82 that I saw John Sebastian at the Lisdoonvarna music festival in Ireland. For several years, the largest annual music festival in Europe was held seven miles from our house. John Sebastian came on late in the afternoon when things were already a couple hours behind schedule. Everyone was saving enthusiasm for the headliners later that night except for a small, but boistrous, group of drunk people at the front who were cheering for everything. John Sebastian, perhaps encouraged, was on his third encore singing Welcome Back Kotter for the second time, having once again ignored a producer trying get him off the stage, when there was a commotion further back in the crowd. Many people had abandoned any waning attention to the stage and swayed in the other direction. That's when I saw the naked woman getting all the attention. And John Sebastian just played on like nothing happened and I hoped at least that he might make some witty remark afterwards, but he simply said his goodbyes and left.

More accurately, that's actually four lovin' spoonfuls.
Well, I don't know about you guys, but the back of my neck is certainly feeling dirty and gritty

Something about that story made me feel dirty and gritty too.
