Saturday in the park

Here's the thinking:
Third Saturday of the Month. 1pm.

Different venues would be fun, and I'm proposing the following:
January -> Pacific Science Center
February -> Aquarium
March -> Arboretum
April -> Zoo
May -> Seward Park
June -> Solstice/Gasworks Park
July -> Ravenna
August -> Volunteer Park
September -> Alki Beach
October -> Zoo
November -> Pacific Science Center
December -> Aquarium

If anyone has other suggestions for venues, please contribute. I don't feel I've been here long enough to have a really good idea of what's available for groups of all ages.

Well, it'd be just me and Franny for the day - Sarah has to work that day. But, it sure sounds fun to me. I haven't been to the Science Center in years. Lots of good cheap eats in the area as well. I'll get with the girls for a more definite answer, but for now color me yes.

Speaking of cheap eats. . . Perhaps we should meet up for food to start with?

So having had my conference, I can commit to a definite yes. I'd be down for eating beforehand as well. Given your continued anti-meat stance, I think Dick's is probably out. There's a good Thai place called, I promise, Phuk Et, and there's a Pagliacci's nearby as well. Also pretty good family style Chinese kitty corner to the pizza place. On the other end of the complex, there's the Hurlicane and the 5-Point. Anything sound tasty?

Cool! Glad to hear you can make it.

I think we're pretty flexible food-wise. . . Phuk Et (an actual city in Thailand, I believe) and Pagliacci's both sound nice.

More location ideas:

- tubing up at Snoqualmie pass
- somewhere where there's snow
- the zoo down in Tacoma
- wild waves

For January we ended up starting with lunch at 12:30 p.m. rather than 1:00 p.m. I imagine when we start will depend on what we're doing that day.

Another location idea: the Museum of Glass
