Let me begin by saying that's awesome. You want to talk approach angle? That truck has approach angle!
Been a pretty interesting military evolution over the last several years. Gearing up to fight The Bear, we concentrated on mobility, countermeasures to overwhelming armor superiority, and technological force multipliers - night vision, gps, etc.
With the current wars we've been fighting however, we've had to go back and concentrate on some pretty basic stuff. I'm talking things like bulletproof trucks, and vehicle mounted support weapons. That's stuff that's necessary for fighting a relatively well hidden enemy while patroling occupied territory. But it's stuff we never thought we'd need when we just had Ivan to contend with, and when we were more concerned with enemy armor and helicopters.
There are some pretty exciting vehicles getting built, like the one Halibut posted. I couldn't find any good links, but I've seen some shit that would turn you white.
Beyond that though, there's also an interesting move to embrace some parts 3rd world combat chic. Check out the Tacomas we used in Afghanistan:
